MBE 5533 @ LRT Cempaka Station

Phewwww!!! penatnye hari ni...lepas keje terus gi Hentian Putra, cari tiket ke Kuala Besut minggu depan (minggu depan nk gi Pulau Perhentian)....nasib la Hentian Putra tuh kecik jek.....tapi ulang alik jugak la dari kaunter ke kaunter nk cek tiket yg ada...nasib ade Radi...xdelah pening sorang2 nk beli tiket...tapi letih gak nk layan kerenah Radi...nak bas Sani lah, x nak naik bas 2 tingkat la, gayat la, x nk duk depan sgt la, nk pilih seat la....hahaha...tapi xpe....aku suka layan dia...hahahaha...

Lepas beli tiket, lapar la pulak......plan nk mkn kat the Mall...tapi cam x bes jek....nk mkn kedai biasa2 jek....then, kitorg mkn la kat kedai Kool (kedai ni Jay Kool nyer kat Pandan Indah)...lepas mkn, dah kyg, Radi hntr balik umah......

dah balik, dah mandi, dah online.....tetiba Radi call....hmmm...ape lagi la minah ni nak....then, she asked me where did i park my car? i was melopong trying to figure out where did i park my car...and BAMMMM!!! OMG!!! I TOTALLY FORGOT! I LEFT MY CAR AT THE LRT STATION near my house! Gosh! macam mana lah blh lupa i parked my car (my father's car) kat lrt! hehehehehe....

then i refreshed back what happened....after work, i left my car at the lrt station and took star lrt to go to PWTC and walked from there to Hentian Putra. i met Radi there. Then, i supposed to go home by lrt but we decided to have dinner and Radi sent me straight home.....by that time, i was totally forgot about my car and all i wanted to do was to take a bath and watching Desperate Housewives...

I really thought i have parked my car at my apartment.....i was sooooo wrong....hehehe.....so, i had to walk to the lrt again for the car coz i would never leave my car there...when i reached the lrt station, only 2 cars left including mine....it was dark and creepy (it was 11.45pm) and i was alone.....there was taxi driver and lrt staff who was about to leave...dengan secepat kilatnye, terus masuk kereta and left the station....hehehehe....what a night!!!

RHBIB Treasure Hunt KL-Melaka @ July 2008

The 'hunting' started from our office to A-Famosa Resort Melaka. AyuMcD, Aun, Tie & Me were a team. We were so excited and sooooo 'berlagak' to others that we sure were gonna win this...but the moment we attended the briefing, we were nervous as the sample questions given were sooo difficult...we knew we had to crack our heads to break the clues...all 4 of us never participated in any treasure hunt before, thus, we really had no idea what to expect whatsoever.....

Ready to flag off.....at the front - Me (Driver), Ayu (Navigator)...at the back from left - Tie & Aun (Clues breaker! heheheh)

This was the main challenge - EATING CILI PADI!!! They required 2 person from each team to eat 5 cili padi...so, tie & me ate those chillis...3 for me, 2 for tie.....i didnt know where they bought the chillis but they were extremely hot and i could feel the burning inside my throat....we both cried!! and so others...

Q: You can see it if far behind.....
A: RAFFI (read "if far" backward!)
Note: we got this one wrong! hahahaha

That nite, we had dinner. During the dinner they have announced all the winners and the organizer shared with us all the funny answers given by the participants. The dinner theme was "RED & BLUE"....it felt like Chinese New Year as most of us wore striking red...hehehe....

Our guest artist...the Papa Rock - Ramli Sarip.....we were really entertained that nite....his performance was so original...

Post dinner.....we went out...just lepak2 minum around 1am....

On Sunday, we went to my house for some durians etc....it was fruit season and we had langsat duku, manggis, durian and rambutan...NICE!!!

Finding MING a mate.....

Isn't she cute?!?!.....i named her MING....i got the name from the reality show "Kimora-Life in the Fabulous Lane"...in reality, Ming is Kimora's eldest daughter....actually, i wanted to name her Aoki (Kimora's youngest daughter-sorry....watching too much of Kimora!) but Ming is simpler.....

I took her when she was 2 months old....but she was quite a big size for a 2-month old kitten....Ming is my first pet....she is the most behaved cat i have ever met (i'm serious!....hehehehe).....

Now....she is 8 months old.....i'm finding her a mate (coz i believe it is the "time" for her "need")...i found a few candidates for her.....she rejected ALL.....she didnt surrender easily....i had to kidnap my neighbour's cat for a week (my neighbour just let the cat running free outside)...i've tried to hook her up with him......they fighted a lot (as expected).....as days went by, they got along.....but....i couldn't keep him any longer.....i had to let the cat free....my neighbour must be looking for him....(and he also didnt litter properly ...very strong reason for me to ditch him out...hehehe)

i don't know whether Ming had her "need" satisfied or not......i'm crossing my fingers.....hehehehe.....otherwise, i just need to continue finding Ming a mate.....GOOD LUCK SENA!!!

"Escape" by Carolyn Jessop

It's reading time!!! hehehehe.....
For those who love "true story", u guys may want to consider this book.....i watched Oprah few months back and she invited Carolyn Jessop who lived in a community which believes in plural marriage i.e. polygamy.....she was forced to marry a 50-year old stranger as his 4th when she was 18 and he was a religious cult member ... Later, she became one of his 6 wives and bore him 8 children in 15 years. When the cult became more extreme, she knew she and her children had to escape.
The abuse in the community was beyond our imagination. They were abused emotionally and phisically. Husbands were in control of everything.....they could do whatever they wanted to do with their women and children...they believed the "outside" world [outside their community] was contaminated.....lucky for her, she escaped....struggling to start a new life with one sick child and rebellious children......
Despite our modern world and the thought that the westerners are more civilized, it is just beyond our imagination to know that this kind of community exists and the abuse is just beyond words.....

Bandung @ June 2007

Bandung.....antara destinasi kegilaan warga Malaysia sekarang...bila sebut Bandung je, yg terlintas dalam fikiran tempat2 shopping, factory outlets, nasi padang...macam2 la...trip ni berlima dgn Ayu dcs, Ita, Jojo and Skeen.

Once we reached Bandara Bandung (Bandara means Airport), we took a cab (it cost us 45K Rupiah or RM18 per taxi to our hotel namely Gumilang Sari Hotel (booked earlier via internet). The hotel is located at Jalan Setiabudi. It is further up from the town. According to the taxi driver, a lot of Malaysian stay at Hotel Sukajadi as it's nearer to the town.

Cuaca kat sana sejuk dan nyaman.....so, it was a relief as our acitivities would involve a lot of walking...when we reached our hotel, first thing we did was finding a transport. We got a car (they called it Kijang or equivalent to Toyota Unser..;p) and a driver...it cost us 600K Rupiah per day or about RM240...yupppp...it was quite a sum...lucky there were 5 of us...hehehe

First destination was Tangkuban Perahu...the journey took about 45 minutes from our hotel.....i never saw a volcano before...so, it really amazed me...as soon as we reached at the top of the volcano, we were surrounded by sellers......tried to persuade us to buy something from them as souvenirs...

Interesting fact...tourist guide bgtau kitorg, dalam sehari, hanya beberapa tourist guide dan penjual (lebih kurang 10-15 org) yg dibenarkan mencari rezeki kat situ...dan....dalam seminggu hanya sekali sahaja...bermakna, setiap hari a group of different people....so, that one particular day would be the only day to make money there (maybe they sells their good elsewhere on other days)...populasi penduduk Indonesia yg begitu besar sampai nk cari rezeki pun kena rotate camtu....(bersyukur dapat hidup kat Malaysia).

Masa kat Tangkuban Perahu, kitorg gi jungle trekking...tourist guide tu kata dekat je...lebih kurang 1km...x sampai setengah jam boleh sampai bawah....pastu driver kitorg akan tunggu kat bawah...it turned out......1km per trip pegi sahaja and we still have to walk another 1km utk ke kereta....so, total of 2km walking for about 1 and 1/2 hour! and they charged us by hour! (lesson no 1-always ask first!)...penjual2 tu semua ikut kitorg jungle trekking dan x putus2 pujuk kitorg beli barang cenderahati....

But.....it was worth the sweat.....the view was really beautiful and the trees were simply amazing! (pic) and at the bottom we had the opportunity to "play" with the mud (pic) which was claimed can make your skin softer (they even sell it in the recycled mineral water bottle!)...on our way back to the car, the tourist guide told us about the legend of Tangkuban Perahu - Sangkuriang, who fell in love with his own mother bla bla bla......;p....it was an interesting legend as i listened to him attentively....hehehe...they charged us about 200K Rupiah (RM80) for the guide and another 135K Rupiah (RM54) for the entrance fee (for 5 pax)...

Apart from the volcano, kitorg pergi Hot Spring x jauh dgn Tangkuban Perahu....masa tu weekend, so, ramai giler manusia....hehehe....seperti biasa, kena bayar entrance fee of 12K Rupiah per person (RM4.80)....dalam tuh, ade pilihan kalau nk yg privacy, pool or public......kitorg amik yg pool (pic)...kena bayar lagi another 27.5K Rupiah (RM11).....

Factory outlets were everywhere....i was attracted to the concept there....macam rumah banglo lot but it is a shop! (pic) factory outlets banyak di Jalan Sukajadi, Jalan Setiabudi, Jalan Cihampelas.....here u can find a lot of branded clothes but cheaper...we noticed that, nothing is free in Bandung....even somebody volunteer to help you with the traffic, eg: they hold other cars to give you a way, we have to pay them..normally around 1K Rupiah (RM0.40)...

Tidak sah percutian ke Indonesia kalau tak beli kebaya......tapi kebaya, telekong, blouse, tudung, kain meter takde jual kat factory outlets.....so, we went to Pasar Baru......memang rambang mata tgk kebaya in every color, lace in every shop, blouses, tudung yg bermacam2 fesyen dan design.....

One experience we wont ever forget.....when we were in the car and the car stopped at a traffic light, came a "pondan" with heavy make up with his little music instrument and started singing outside the car. He expected us to give him money (they do all sort of things for money).....we ignored him and he kept singing....we just let him sing and pretending that we didnt care.....he gave us an angry look and the driver asked us to give some money...finally, we gave only 500 cents (RM0.20).....the moment he took the money, we were scolded by the "pondan" sbb mula2 x nak bagi duit!!! hah!

Normally we would go for Nasi Padang for our lunch....one afternoon we were having our lunch at Ibu Suharti resataurant....basically, we didnt know what to order...so, we just oredered what was in the menu.....the meals looked delicious.....but...a lil bit sweet....when we browsed further the menu, we noticed that we had actually ordered cow skin as one of the side dishes......eewwwwww!.....we barely ate our meals.....hahahaha....we also went to a Sundanese restaurant where we were served with Sunda foods. They served the rice in the banana leave (pic)....5 stars for the food presentation!!! Kat Bandung juga terkenal dengan kek kukus Amanda! mmg sedap!
The driver took us to a neighbourhood where we could see Bandung from the top of the hill. We were amazed by the big bungalows in the neighbourhood which reflected their status....It really showed the big gap between the riches and the poors.....

Tibalah hari untuk berangkat pulang.......kat airport jojo kena tarik ke tepi oleh sekuriti sbb bawak souvenir yg konon nye bahaya (souvenir tuh jojo beli kat Tangkuban Perahu berbentuk tanduk dibuat dari kayu)....dah bercerita panjang dgn sekuriti, dia lepaskan jugak.....so, after we checked in, we waited in the departure hall........then.....a few minutes later, the security came to jojo asking for money....he said that he wanted 50K Rupiah (RM20) as he allowed jojo to board......huh....corruption!......we also needed to pay 60K Rupiah (RM24) for the airport tax....and we arrived at Malaysia airport safe and sound.....;p

Phuket @ May 2007

5 hari 4 malam ke Patong, Phuket....view dari atas kapal terbang mmg cun gilerrr...rasa x sabar nk landing...trip ni gi ngan Idah and her brother & family....5 of us...

Hari nak pegi ni byk betul dugaan...kereta x blh start...missed the bus.....almost tertinggal flight.............huh!

We were staying at Holiday Inn-Phuket Busakorn Wing (a very2 nice hotel!) and welcomed with flowers and complimentary local fruits (rambutan, manggis etc). NICE!!!

Swimming pool mmg very tempting (pic: view from our room..cantik kan!)....x lepas peluang swimming...acara wajib..hehehe..Patong Beach mmg tempat tourist...everywhere was full with mat salleh...but the beach itself was not as beautiful as i expected (maybe after tsunami kot pantai dia x berapa cantik-hilang mood nk mandi pantai...plus...nobody mandi manda pun kat pantai tuh...oh ya.....they were after the sun! tanning session!)

One thing good about Patong, u can just walk around the small town...a lot of restaurants (arabs, thais, seafoods, indians) and a lot of clubs, pubs, open bars...name it!

A lot of places and shops for shopping too...Patong Top Shopping Paradise...where all the Prada, Gucci, Guess, Jimmy Choo, Chanel etc waiting to be grabbed....shoes, t shirts, parios...their printed t shirts are really nice...i bought myself "My Chemical Romance" t shirt and the most sought out tshirt-"NO I DON'T WANT A F*?K'N TUK TUK SUIT OR MASSAGE THANK YOU VERY MUCH (must buy!SERIOUS!)

I kept on wondering why this t shirt is very popular among the tourists (officemates i pun kirim)....i learnt that these 3 things were very popular there...massage services were everywhere...and then, there were tuk tuk-a town taxi (pic) and boleh tempah suit siap dalam masa 1 hari! believe it or not! and the price is quite reasonable...basically, u can find a lot of things there...some things are cheaper but of course u have to bargain...otherwise, for a fake Guess purse, they would sell about RM100...(yeah...might as well get the original!)..keyword is..BARGAIN!

We tried to find pirate cds, vcds, dvds.....tapi satu pun xde jual openly....bila tanye kat kedai2....baru lah tau diorg nih jual pirate cds underground...siap ade bilik rahsia belakang kedai or kat ceruk2 bangunan....seram gak tapi kitorg determine nak cari dvd...quite cheap and kualiti gambar blh tahan....surprisingly.....almost all sellers there were not locals.....ramai foreigners-pakistan ramai....termasukla yg jual dvd haram ni (pic)...hehehe...

waktu ptg blh nk kata everyday hujan.....a lil bit disappointed...but overall, i had fun...tapi kecewa x dapat pegi bond island and bungee jumping....maybe i ll go there again someday!

Singapore @ March 2007

It was my first trip to outside of Malaysia. Setahun yang lalu (i know i should have started my blog a year ago...hehehe). Sebenarnya, bukan pergi bercuti pun...nak pergi tengok konsert Fall Out Boy @ The Max Pavilion.

And... since the main plan was to watch the concert, we didnt have much time to go around the city. But i insisted to go to the Merlion Park because it was the only thing i could think of that could be associated with Singapore.

We drove ourselves there (it was a bad idea to drive because we couldnt see any car park space nearby). Since i was the one who insisted going there, Idah decided to wait in the car by the roadside (Thanks Idah for your patience...hehehe).

The Merlion has a lion head and a fish body resting on a crest of waves. The lion head symbolises the legend of the rediscovery of Singapura. The fish tail of the Merlion symbolises the ancient city of Temasek and represents Singapore's humble beginnings as a fishing village. Voila!!!

The Beginning of a Never Ending Story

Hmmm...finally!!! Thanks to my dear friends who inspired me to start blogging...love u guys!!!
